Flaxseeds are a nutritional powerhouse, containing a source of many essential vitamins and minerals. They are high in Thiamine (Vitamin B1) which supports normal heart function and offer a source of Magnesium, which contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Flaxseeds are high in Omega 3, an essential fatty acid known as ALA (alpha-linolenic acid), which contributes to heart health through the maintenance of normal blood cholesterol levels. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 2g of ALA.
Ways to use
- Golden flaxseed makes a great addition to your breakfast when sprinkled on overnight oats, Greek yogurt and fruit or an acai bowl
- Golden Flaxseed can be used in lots of delicious recipes, like sprinkled onto salads, mixed into tasty black bean burgers or used in a homemade granola
- Try making some flaxseed twists, these are great to take with you for a snack when you’re on the move!
